ENERGETIC BELLY MASSAGE TO SOOTHE  EMOTIONS AND SUPPORT DIGESTION.

What is Chi Nei Tsang?

Chi Nei Tsang is an  therapeutic belly massage rooted in the Chinese Taoist tradition. Its name means "working the internal energy of the organs". It's a gentle, yet deep approach that helps release both physical and emotional tensions stored in the abdominal area, the true center of our emotions, often referred to as our "second brain".

In my practice, I use Chi Nei Tsang to help soften emotional knots and ease what may manifest as stress, anxiety, digestive discomfort, or persistent fatigue. This relaxing treatment supports a smoother flow of vital energy and helps restore inner balance.

This massage works gently and deeply on the internal organs, as well as the digestive, lymphatic and nervous systems.

On a physical level, it can help to :

  • Improve digestion and ease abdominal discomfort

  • Soothe women's health concerns (cramps, painful periods, premenstrual syndrome)

  • Support the immune system

On an emotional level, Chi Nei Tsang helps to :

  • Release emotions stored in the belly, often linked to stress, anxiety or past experiences.

Chi Nei Tsang and hypnosis: a mind-body synergy

Chi Nei Tsang and hypnotherapy naturally complement each other. Hypnosis works on the mind and emotional mechanisms, while belly massage acts directly on the body and cellular memory.

By combining these two approaches, it is possible torelieve stress on multiple levels: mental, emotional and physical. It allows a holistic process that encourages deep release and supports a renewed connection to oneself.

If you'd like to learn more about how I use hypnosis to help with stress or anxiety, you can visit my pages on hypnosis and stress or hypnosis and anxiety.

LEARN MORE ABOUT HYPNOSIS

Hypnosis opens the doors to the unconscious mind. Chi Nei Tsang releases what the body has been holding. Together they bring to a deep transformation.

My background and training in Chi Nei Tsang

I trained at the Vibrens training institute in Geneva, where I learned the foundations of Chi Nei Tsang based on Mantak Chia’s teachings. This practice naturally aligns with my approach to care: connecting body, mind and emotions while respecting each person’s unique rhythm.

I continue to train regularly to deepen my understanding of the body and emotional processes, and to offer ever more comprehensive support.

Frequently asked questions about therapeutic massage

  • Chi Nei Tsang is suitable for anyone wishing to release tension in the belly, relieve stress or restore emotional balance. It is appropriate for both adults and children. For younger clients, I adapt the session to their age and sensitivity, sometimes in combination with a session of hypnosis for children.

  • Unlike a traditional relaxation massage, Chi Nei Tsang works deeply on the internal organs andvital energy (Chi). It is a physical, emotional and energetic approach. The aim is not only to relax, but to release blockages that prevent the body from regaining its natural harmony.

  • Chi Nei Tsang should never be painful. The massage is performed with careful attention and respect for the body. Some areas may feel more sensitive, particularly if they hold long-lasting tension, but the touch always remains gentle and kind. We proceed together, at your own pace, in a safe and nurturing environment.

  • Everyone is different. A single session can already bring significant relief, but for more in-depth work, especially on stress or digestion, several sessions spaced 3 to 4 weeks apartare often beneficial. I always discuss this with you at our first appointment, based on your needs and experience. More practical details are available on the sessions and fees page .

  • Yes, and this is an approach I particularly enjoy offering. Therapeutic hypnosis works on thoughts and emotions, while Chi Nei Tsang helps the body release what it holds in memory. Together, the work becomes holistic: mind, body and emotions are rebalanced.

  • Chi Nei Tsang is a gentle practice suitable for most people. However, caution is needed in some cases:

    - Acute digestive disorders or abdominal infections

    - Severe or unstabilized inflammatory diseases (cancer, active autoimmune disease...)

    - Skin infections, open wounds or melanomas in the area to be massaged

    - Pregnancy

    - Pacemaker or history of cardiac surgery

    - History of bypass orrecent abdominal surgery (less than 6 months).

    - Presence of painful gallstones or kidney stones.

    - Fever or extreme fatigue

Before each session, we discuss your state of health to ensure the massage is completely safe and appropriate.

  • Chi Nei Tsang works deeply, both physically and emotionally. It is therefore possible to experience slight fatigue, emotions resurfacing, or new physical sensations (warmth, internal movement, need for rest) in the hours or days following a session. Sometimes, as the digestive system gets back into motion, some persons experience faster transit or more frequent bowel movements.

These reactions are normal and indicate a process of release and harmonization. I usually recommend drinking plenty of water, taking a quiet moment after the session and welcoming these sensations with kindness. They quickly disappear, leaving a sense of lightness and balance.
